3D Modelling and Design Proposals for Office Building Facade Renovation • April 2013
I was tasked with developing creative design solutions to revitalize the façade of a bland office building. Using advanced 3D modelling techniques, I produced detailed visualizations that transformed the building’s appearance from plain and uninspiring to a dynamic, welcoming structure.
My focus was on creating an aesthetic that was both visually appealing and functionally sustainable while respecting the original architectural lines.
The project was completed ahead of schedule and delivered before the deadline.

This was a communication concept project where contractors and customers/residents could meet in a cozy, well-designed mobile container at the construction site. Inside the mobile container, people could find information about the progress of the renovation/construction project and engage in informal and pleasant conversations between the contractors and residents.
The project was a concept, and given that a significant amount of time has passed since the project was held, and the development manager who hired me for the project has now retired, I feel it is appropriate to present the koncept.

In connection with the renovation of Østerpark’s building on Jagtvej, where I was a housing association board member, I collaborated with TEYTAUD Consulting Engineers A/S to develop 3D models of facade proposals.
The proposals were created for the City of Copenhagen's Technical and Environmental Administration to approve the renovation plans.
TEYTAUD presented two facade pattern proposals, which I integrated into my 3D model of the building. This allowed the City of Copenhagen to visualise and approve the renovation.
The renovation commenced in the fall of 2013.

Colorful visualization of space layout in a holiday cottage
This project started with an idea from my neighbor, who wanted a new wooden facade for a holiday cottage.
As the project progressed, however, the focus shifted to reconfiguring the interior layout to improve the flow of spaces. The architect initially on the project did not have the time or the ability to work with 3D modeling, so I was brought in to create a clearer visualization.
In this project, I designed the interior layout and structure of the rooms, as illustrated in the 3D models where each room is color-coded for easy understanding.
This approach makes it straightforward to visualize the position and function of each room. Additionally, I explored solutions for a staircase that would provide access to a small loft area, which could be used as additional living or storage space.
Through this project, I was able to merge practical design with visual clarity, resulting in a comprehensible and functional interior layout overview.
Design and visualization of an allotment house project
In Humlebæk north of Copenhagen, I have a neighbor who often comes up with creative ideas and sometimes needs my help to bring them to life in 3D.
This particular project was exciting, as he had purchased a vacant allotment and wanted to build a 60m² garden house on it. I created a 3D model of the house, offering several facade options for the wood cladding, and integrated the model into photos my neighbor had taken of the site.
The goal was to provide him with a realistic sense of how the house would look in its final placement.
3D illustrations | Langebjerghallen | Humlebæk
Due to the expansion of Langebjerghallen in Humlebæk, which appeared quite dominant in the architectural drawings, particularly in relation to the view from my backyard, I decided to create a 3D model of the winning project. This was to better understand how the new building would be positioned in relation to our property.
Using the limited information from the architectural plans, I built the 3D model. The only major difference between my illustrations and the final building was that I missed including a single tower in my version.
In reality, the buildings take up more space than I initially interpreted from the drawings.
Through my 3D renderings, we proposed a solution where the building could be rotated 180 degrees, moving it further away from us while maintaining its architectural theme. However, this suggestion was not implemented. The bottom three pictures show suggestions from us neighbours.
Nonetheless, as neighbours, we managed to have some influence, creating an embankment near the parking lot, providing some visual shielding from the building.
3D interior design and architecture | From Furniture Layout to Sports Hall Planning
Before moving into my house, I created a 3D model of the entire building to gain a visual understanding of furniture placement and potential new arrangements.
This model allowed me to experiment with the layout of existing furniture and visualize how new furniture might fit into the space.
I also created renderings of my office in Keyshot to see how the room would look with different colors and to evaluate if my old sofa bed could be repainted in a new color. Additionally, I used the 3D model as a blueprint, which was helpful in various planning phases.
Furthermore, I modeled the entire townhouse complex to assess how the area would be affected by a new sports hall that was planned shortly after I moved in.
3D modelling of my former flat
I previously 3D-modelled my former apartment at Jagtvej 213, located in Østerbro, Copenhagen. The model allowed me to experiment with different colors for sliding doors and consider wallpaper for one of the walls, adding a personal and modern touch.
This 3D model later became an essential tool when the building required facade renovation. I recreated the entire building in 3D to assist with facade proposals that needed approval from the City of Copenhagen. Teytaud presented two pattern options for the facade, and I visualized both proposals in 3D to help the city council better understand the project.
The 3D illustrations played a key role in securing approval, and the renovation began in the fall of 2013.
