My Journey into Industrial Design: A Foundation in Graphic CreativityMy journey towards becoming an industrial designer began in the early 1990s when I first discovered the joy of creating graphic visual expressions on a computer. At that time, there was a lot of buzz about the emerging role of the multimedia designer—a fascinating concept, though its exact definition and scope were still unclear. At one point, a career advisor suggested I become a sign painter. However, the term didn't resonate with my design aspirations. If they had instead mentioned titles like "sign designer," "sign stylist," or "sign graphic artist," it would have aligned much more closely with my interest in design. I'm not the typical automotive designer who could draw in freehand perspective before I could walk, and no, my first words weren't "design" or "car." My path to becoming an industrial designer took me through alternative educational routes such as folk high schools and production schools—some more relevant and useful than others. Before I even began my formal studies, I had already accumulated substantial experience in graphic design and naturally developed art direction skills, which I continue to actively apply in my work today. |

Brand identity | Polish psychologist practice | Logo and signage designPsychologist practice • 2020 This logo was developed for a psychologist practice in Poland, drawing inspiration from my own design. I used the same custom font I created for my logo, adding a personal and recognizable touch. Additionally, I designed a sign for the main entrance of the psychologist’s practice, reflecting the same aesthetic and professionalism. |

Product design | Møller-Jensen Innovation & Design ApS | Photoshop illustratorConcept styling to the medical market • mjid.dk • October 2006.
I was contacted on short notice by Peter Møller to assist with the design and presentation of a medical product using Photoshop. The project lasted a week and involved visualizing a concept for a sampling product. Although the product was not ultimately pursued, this project enhanced my skills in Photoshop and the visual presentation of complex concepts. |

Brand identity | Rockwool GC32 design competitionIn January 2021, Rockwool, the sponsor of Danish sailing, held a design competition to select the best sponsor paint scheme for the Danish GC32 racing team. The competition ran between Christmas and New Year 2020, and I developed 14 main design concepts that could be combined in Photoshop, leading to 100 unique design proposals. My design approach aimed to reflect Danish identity by drawing inspiration from Danish fan culture and national pride. However, Rockwool ultimately prioritized its brand identity, selecting a winning design from Asia that highlighted Rockwool as the sponsor over the Danish theme. You can download the PDF file I submitted (small format, 4 MB). |

Brand identity | Website designingSince 1997, I have been designing and optimizing websites with a focus on simplicity and usability. My early websites featured colorful backgrounds and free domain setups until I purchased my first domain in late 1999. In the early 2000s, I transitioned to a minimalist design with white backgrounds, making the sites visually clean and easy to navigate. I emphasize ensuring that my websites are fully compatible with all browsers and devices, including mobile platforms. Additionally, my HTML coding is optimized for fast loading times and search engine optimization (SEO). |

Brand identity | LogosMy logo design journey began in 1993, when I first explored graphical elements using Corel Draw, my initial drawing software. The first logo I created was inspired by the front grills of cars, a design I often used in my early car sketches. This style is somewhat similar to the grill design seen today in Dacia cars, with the letters "DC" forming part of the grill. By 1998, I shifted focus to more simplified logos, catering to stationery, business cards, and early websites, as I enrolled in graphic design schools to refine my skills. During my time at Coventry University in 2002, I designed my own font for a school project, which became part of my logo. Blue remained my go-to color during this period. In 2004, one of my professors challenged me to rethink my logo, calling it a bit dull. This pushed me to create my current bold, orange design, which I still use today. I have occasionally used a black background for variety. My logo is not just an aesthetic marker of my business but a symbol of the visual communication and brand identity services I offer to clients. I design logos for both private individuals and companies, providing consultation on how a strong visual brand can enhance business identity and recognition. |

Brand identity | Business cardsSince 1994, I have been experimenting with the design and aesthetics of my business cards, adapting the layouts based on the technology available, such as computers and printers. I have worked with transparent materials, previously used for overhead presentations, and I have laminated several cards. This has preserved their vibrant colors and kept them looking almost new to this day. However, the oldest cards have started sticking to plastic sleeves. Over the years, I have experimented with colors, starting with safe blue tones before eventually deciding that orange should be the central color of my logo. In the beginning, I printed and cut the cards myself, but over time I moved to mass production, having them printed professionally. My mindset has always been to create business cards that are not just practical but also communicate a company’s visual identity. With years of experience, I now offer advice to businesses looking to enhance their brand through aesthetic and functional design. This text incorporates the words and ideas you mentioned (e.g., aesthetics, mindset, advising), while also providing a cohesive narrative that reflects your journey and expertise in business card design. Feel free to modify this to better suit your style or any additional thoughts! |

Brand identity | Portfolio foldersSince 1999, I have created portfolio folders that I sent by postal mail. Today, for interviews, I use an A3 folder that can be updated with new papers as needed. The folder contains plastic sleeves, making it easy to replace the content. In the past, I also designed a portfolio newspaper with a circulation of around 2,000 copies, which was mailed out. The newspaper was a cost-effective solution for the mass production and distribution of my work. |

SoMe networking concept | Danish Car Designers | Creator and webmasterAugust 2007 - April 2014 Developed and managed danskebildesignere.dk (plus English domain danishcardesigners.com), a networking and profiling platform for Danish car designers. The project provided valuable experience in SEO, online marketing, and network building. I worked on concept development, business planning, and sponsor outreach. Despite limited support from potential members, the site became one of the top-ranked in its category on Google during its active period. This project gave me solid insights into building and promoting a digital platform. |
